Hi friends,
I’m going to keep it short today. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking, planning and stressing lately. I noticed that I have lost some of the joy I felt while writing blog posts. I still get very enthusiastic about writing stories, both Hesitant Hero and – more regularly – other stories. So this means that my schedule from a few weeks ago has been cancelled.
But do not worry. I am still going to write a chapter of The Hesitant Hero every week, so chapter 20 should appear on Friday as scheduled, although I have yet to start actually writing it. Part of why this has been delayed is because – kind of similar to volume 2 – this volume is very different from the initial draft I wrote back in November. The core story stayed the same, but the way it flows, and a lot of the big things that happen on the side, is fully different. As a matter of fact, the upcoming chapter is going to be a pretty big one that complicates the story quite a bit and sets up some fun things for volume 5. So look forward to that.
As to when I’ll go back to posting more than once a week… I don’t know. I’m not going to make another promise. I want to focus on The Hesitant Hero fully for next two or three months, so I can actually finish the volume 1 draft and get back ahead of schedule. So yeah, that’s pretty much it. I hope you enjoyed last week’s chapter and the upcoming few chapters and I’ll keep you updated if things change. Thanks for your patience and thanks for reading!
