The future of The Necromancer’s Daughter

Hi friends,

I have been working very, very hard on creating a fun and interesting world for my running story that is The Hesitant Hero. I love this story much more than I expected when I first started developing it and thinking about plot points I have in mind I could literally write dozens of volumes in this world. And I plan to do just that. But working on finishing up volume 3 for my blog, thinking of where to take the story in volume 4 AND trying to complete a finalized version of volume 1, it’s been a lot of different moments in the story. For instance, volume 1 Mana and Cobal were very distrusting of each other while by the time we get to Marsolin, they support each other. Adding another story like The Necromancer’s Daughter on top of that has been difficult and not very smart. I love this story and I will absolutely return to it, but I think for my own efficiency I will have to take a long break from it. That also helps me develop the Astrianara Academy, which is where the vast majority of the first book in that series will take place. As a matter of fact, I have plans to shorten the prologue chapters a ton and maybe move Kaylirr’s story to a later point in the book, but that’s something for later. For now, the story will be on indefinite hiatus. I doubt it will fully return within a year, but I’ve said a lot of things publicly and then changed my mind, so take that with a grain of salt. In the meantime, I hope all of you are enjoying the conclusion of volume 3. With this volume, we kind of take our distance from the search for the crown prince and we instead start moving towards the core of the story. I will talk more about upcoming developments in a different post, but the kingdom initially summoned Mana to help them with threats from the Feral Wildlands. Some of the important pieces are already in place and soon we might actually get to see some of the region for ourselves. Not all of it is as hostile as the “civilized” kingdoms would have you believe, but much of it is shrouded in mystery. Look forward to what is to come and if you are very excited about the possible return of The Necromancer’s Daughter, leave a comment down below. If people are interested in it I might put some more priority into its return.

Thanks for reading!
