No Hesitant Hero this week

Dear reader,

It’s me, the source of all of Mana’s anxiety and worries. I was supposed to have chapter 21 ready for you. The gang is on it’s way to an island inhabited by cultists and this clash is going to be very interesting. At least I hope it will be.
The truth is, I don’t fully know what will transpire on this island. Normally I sit down for the finalized version (before proofreading) of a chapter knowing what will happen in the chapter, but I’ve caught up to my plans. With a week off, I figured I’d have more than enough time to come up with something good, but I didn’t anticipate that I’d fall ill. I was ill a couple of months ago and figured I’d be fine for the foreseeable future. That’s how it works right? You get ill and then you get immunity for a few months. Unfortunately that’s not how it works and although I didn’t get very ill this time around, I have a cough that’s been nagging me all week and causing me headaches. I’ve not really had much focus these last couple of days and when I do find myself able to focus, I have other things I need to prioritize right now. I have uni deadlines and my internship is getting evaluated next week. That’s kind of important since I don’t know if I’ll still get my job if I fail it. So no stress.
To make a long story short, I’ve decided to move the release of chapter 21 to next Friday. I have enough content to post a chapter today, if I really want to, but I feel like I can do better. I’m ultimately still writing these stories for myself – although I am very happy to see the same people interacting with my post week after week, it’s an amazing feeling – and I don’t want to write something that I’m unhappy with. So there you have it. No Hesitant Hero this week, but I promise you that I’ll do everything I can to have a great chapter lined up for next week.
